Matt
Herring
Matt entered the real estate business in 1978 in Dallas, Texas. Learning
the business from the ground up, he put his experience in sales, leasing,
management and development to work to create success even during turbulent
times in the real estate industry. In 1985 he and his partners formed
a company that aggressively developed more than 4,000 multi-family units
on 18 properties in nine states. Subsequent stints with several established
real estate companies, as well as his own firm, aptly prepared Matt for
his role as an investment specialist with the Dallas office of national
firm, CB Richard Ellis. While with CBRE during the period from 1997 to
late 2001 he personally sold more than $400 million worth of property
and represented an all-star clientele, including ProLogis, G.E. Capital,
Morgan Stanley, Northwestern Mutual and First Industrial, among others.
In late 2001 Matt left the company to form the acquisition and investment
sales division for the Cawley Wilcox Companies. There he lead the acquisition
of two properties and directed a sales team which sold more than $15 million
worth of real estate in his first year. Matt joined forces with partner
Mark Latham in 2003 to form Amicus Interests, LLC. Matt is a graduate
of the University of Texas. He and his wife, Carol, have one child and
live in Fort Worth, Texas.
